Gingersnap

Memories had an easy delivery of a gorgeous little girl on July 1st 2021 that we've named "Suzette!" Memories was bred to our herdsire Blooming Field’s Matrix’s Sunrise for a Summer 2021 cria. This is the first breeding to “Sunny” for Memories and we can’t wait to see the result of this pairing! Memories has awesome 2018 EPD stats in the top 1% for %F > 30 micron, top 2% for AFD and SF, top 2% for %M, and top 8% for MC!! We welcomed Memories' first male cria September 2017. "Dino" is a handsome little fella who's growing fast and Memories in proving once again to be a terrific mom. Blooming Field Farm's Dino is out of our herdsire Nikias. With the super pedigree and fiber traits of both parents we anticipate Dino could be something special. Memories delivered her 2nd baby girl on 6/12/16; Blooming Field Farm's Tina. Tina is from our very own herdsire, Heather's Acre Accoyo Nikias! Memories gave us an adorable, healthy female cria on 6/4/15. This cria's sire is the infamous XANADU P CONCERTO! She is beautiful and we've named her Blooming Field Farm's Gingersnap. XANADU P CONCERTO (now co-owned by Spirit Wind Farm & Fiber Studio and Finger Lakes Alpacas) has sired some truly elite alpacas, most notably the exceptional "Spirit Wind's Maestro" who now has several Championship banners under his belt. Let's just say we're very excited about "Gingersnap's" potential! Memories is a beautiful female sired by the late award winning herdsire, Aussie Hill's Imagine, a Jericho son. She has the low micron count, and low SD that we are striving for in our breeding program. Memories did very well at the 2012 AOBA National Fleece Show. We are so excited to have her superior fiber genetics which are so integral to the future fiber industry. Memories' genetic background includes Jericho, Mr. Zesto, Don Julio on her sire's side and Orion and Royal Fawn on her dam's. Memories' sire is none other than the late "Aussie Hill's Imagine", a MFI Jericho son who earned 8 blue ribbons and 2 banners during his show career and sired many show-winning offspring. We are proud to have the stellar genetics of this late champion here at Blooming Field Farm. Imagine's dam is MFI Candy Corn, a Chilean girl who maintained lingering fineness with an AFD of 19 at 12 years of age! She has also produced some incredibly successful and show worthy offspring. Past comments by our certified sorter regarding Memories' fleece have been..."Impressive crimp & bundling. Very soft, very uniform blanket. A fleece to be proud of." Brightness was rated a 9/10, density a 7-8/10, and uniformity of crimp/lock style a 9/10.
